How Does a Phone Menu Work?
A phone menu plays a short message listing options — for example: “Press 1 for sales, press 2 for support, press 3 for accounts.” The caller presses a number on their phone, and the system automatically routes the call to the right department or person.
How to set one up
Our support team handles the phone menu setup for you. Let us know which options you want and where each one should route to, and we take care of the rest.
For the voice prompt, you have two options: record it yourself on your mobile phone, or type your text and use the text-to-speech assistant to generate the audio. The text-to-speech assistant gives you a 5-letter code that you paste into the dashboard to activate it.
You can also set up multi-level menus — for example, pressing 1 for sales could lead to a second menu where callers choose between new enquiries and existing customers.
