Your welcome message is often the first thing callers hear, so it is worth getting right. You have two options for creating your message.

Record it yourself

Call our recording line from your mobile phone and record your message. This works well if you want a personal touch — callers hear a real voice from your company before they are connected.

Once recorded, upload the file when you activate the welcome message in your dashboard.

Use the text-to-speech assistant

Type your message text in the dashboard and our text-to-speech assistant generates the audio for you. You receive a 5-letter code (for example XUIUD) that you paste into the dashboard to activate it.

This is ideal if you want a consistent, professional sound — and it makes it easy to update your message whenever you need to. Just type the new text and generate a new recording.

Which option is best?

It depends on your business. A personal recording works well for smaller companies where callers expect to speak to a specific person. The text-to-speech assistant is a good fit if you want a polished, uniform sound or if you update your message regularly.

Both options work for all announcement types — welcome messages, closed messages, whisper tones, voicemail prompts, and phone menu prompts.
