When you are busy or closed, callers can leave a voicemail instead of hearing a busy tone or an unanswered ring. Each recording is sent to you by email as an audio file, together with the caller’s number, the time of the call, and which number they dialled.

How it works

The caller hears a short prompt — for example “Please leave a message after the tone” — and records their message. As soon as they hang up, you receive an email with the recording attached. You can listen to it on your phone, laptop, or anywhere you read email.

For the voicemail prompt, you have two options:

  • Record it yourself — make a recording on your mobile phone and send it to us.
  • Use our text-to-speech assistant — type your prompt, choose a voice, and paste the generated code into the dashboard.

Getting started

Enable voicemail in the dashboard under Number Settings. Enter the email address where you want to receive recordings and you are ready to go. Changes are saved in real time.
