When all your lines are busy, callers hear a hold message instead of a busy tone. They stay in the queue until someone is available to take the call.

How the queue works

Every 10 seconds our platform polls your phone or phone system. As soon as someone is available, we patch the caller through. The caller does not have to do anything — they simply wait and are connected automatically.

This means you never lose a caller just because everyone happened to be on the phone at the same time.

Queue limits

By default, up to 5 callers can wait in the queue at the same time. This protects your number from being overloaded during unexpected spikes.

If you expect higher volumes — for example because of a TV appearance, a marketing campaign, or a seasonal peak — let our support team know and we can increase the limit for you.

What callers hear while waiting

While in the queue, callers hear hold music or a message of your choice. You can use this time to share useful information, such as your website address, current promotions, or alternative ways to get in touch.

Create your hold message the same way as any other recording: record it on your mobile phone and send it to us, or use our text-to-speech assistant for quick updates.

Getting started

Our support team handles the queue setup for you. Just let us know you want to activate it and we will configure everything — including the hold message and queue limit.
