A closed message is a pre-recorded message that plays when someone calls outside your working hours. In the message you typically mention who the caller has reached, that your organization is currently closed, when you will be available again, and how the caller can still reach you (for example by leaving a voicemail).

A closed message is often used in combination with opening hours, a holiday calendar, and voicemail.

How to activate

  1. Log in to the dashboard
  2. Go to your number settings
  3. Scroll down to Closed text
  4. Toggle the feature on

You can record the message on your mobile phone or use the text-to-speech assistant to generate it. Changes take effect immediately.

Directly below the closed message setting you will find the opening hours feature, which controls when the closed message is played.
