How the team dashboard works

The team dashboard is tied to a phone team on your CallFactory number. When you open the dashboard, you see every member of that team listed with their current status: available, unavailable, or on a call.

Each team member controls their own availability. When you switch yourself on, you enter the call queue and will receive incoming calls. When you switch off, calls skip you and go to the next available colleague. The dashboard updates in real time — everyone sees changes immediately.

This is especially useful for teams where multiple people share the same phone number: reception desks, support lines, sales teams. Instead of guessing who is free, you see it on screen.

One dashboard or many

A progressive web app — not an app store download

The team dashboard is built as a progressive web app (PWA). It runs in your browser and behaves like a native application — but there is nothing to download from an app store.

We made this choice deliberately. CallFactory is a business-to-business provider. We are not looking for customers to find us in an app store. What we want is reliability and the ability to push updates fast. Phone numbers need high availability — when we add functionality or fix an issue, your team should have it immediately, not after waiting days or weeks for an app store approval process.

A PWA gives us exactly that. Updates are instant. There is no approval queue, no version fragmentation, no waiting for Apple or Google to review a build. When you open the dashboard, you always have the latest version.

For your team, it also means no one needs to install unfamiliar software on their personal phone. Open a link in the browser and you are in. If you want it on your home screen, add it — it sits next to your other apps and launches just like one. Same experience, no app store involved. On a mobile phone, add the dashboard to your home screen and it launches full-screen, just like a native app. On a desktop, keep it open in a browser tab. Either way, you see the same queue, the same availability statuses, and the same call activity. There is no difference between being in the office and being remote.
