One numbering plan for the whole organization
With an 088 range you give every branch, department and employee a number of their own from the same range. That gives overview and structure, and your whole organization can be reached under one recognizable business number.
The range belongs to one company, not to a group
The ACM issues an 088 block to one business entity. Passing numbers from the range on to subsidiaries or separate web shops is not allowed under the numbering plan. If the ACM finds that it happens anyway, it can withdraw the numbers, and renumbering costs time you will not have then.
You pay for the block, not for the numbers you use
The ACM’s supervision fee applies per block of 100, even if you only use a few. If you apply for more blocks over time, those yearly costs add up step by step.
First count how many numbers you need
If you need a number per branch, department or employee within one company, an 088 range is the clearest. If you need one national number, or numbers for different companies or web shops, an 085 number is faster and more flexible: active within one business day, taken one at a time and without the yearly ACM levy.

Minutes are charged per country. The rate per minute depends on the country and on where the call is forwarded to. You get the rate for your route before you start.
About the 088 range
088 numbers are national, location-independent phone numbers, so not tied to a specific city or region. They are issued per block of 100 or 1000 consecutive numbers in the name of companies and operators by the ACM, and may only be used by the applicant themselves. Especially useful for companies with multiple locations: with your own 088 number block you are reachable nationally with all your departments and locations.
The cost of calling 088 numbers is charged by the telecom provider at the regular local rate. In most cases this is simply included in the call bundle, just like with regional numbers.

088 numbers can also be called from abroad. In that case, add the country code +31 for the Netherlands, so you call +31 88 followed by the number.
