1-809 is the Israeli toll-free prefix. Calls to 1-809 numbers are free for the caller. It works similarly to 0800 numbers in other countries. The 1-809 prefix is specific to Israel and is not related to Caribbean 809 area codes.

No. Israeli toll-free 1-809 numbers can only be dialed from within Israel. Callers outside Israel should use your local geographic number, your 77 national number or your standard business number.
