A telephone extension is a device registered in your telephone exchange so it can receive incoming calls. If a phone number has, for example, six extensions, this means there are six phones that can receive calls on that same number. The telephone exchange determines which extension rings first, and in what order the others follow.
You can create as many phone extensions as you need. There’s no practical limit: you can set up one extension per colleague, or several for the same person if they use multiple devices to receive calls.
You can create or change a phone extension by emailing or calling our support team. You can also log in to your dashboard and create a phone extension there.
Yes, you can. You can create a telephone extension that forwards to a phone in another country without any issues. This allows you to set up a virtual call center with colleagues working from different international locations, all reachable through the same central number.
